Just inside the Chobe National Park, on the extreme western border with the Linyanti Concession, Camp Linyanyti is a rustic, authentic base for remote exploration. There are just five classic safari tents, raised on private decks overlooking the Linyanti Lagoon. The sleeping area inside is relatively small but cosy, while the en-suite facilities include a flush toilet and open sky shower. There is a central, thatched main lodge with a bar, lounge and dining area, and a great feature is the lagoon-side boma, where nightcaps can be enjoyed round a roaring fire.
Although geographically inside the Chobe National Park, your experience here will more closely resemble that on offer in the private Linyanti concessions than at the Chobe Riverfront. The area, including a series of secluded game drive tracks where you are unlikely to encounter any other vehicles, is particularly redolent of the Linyanti and Selinda Concessions, with virtually the same predominant big game. Activities for now revolve around morning and afternoon game drives, but there will also soon be water based activities available on the Linyanti Lagoon.
