Day 1
Fly overnight to Johannesburg.
Day 2
Board a connecting flight to Kasane, taking roughly two hours. Here you will be greeted and transferred to the waterfront, for a three night stay at a relaxed, family friendly lodge. There are many activities to choose from, and this afternoon you will enjoy your first taste of Botswana.
Day 3
Morning and afternoon game viewing activities around Chobe. You will want to go into the national park on game drives and take a river cruise to watch elephants, buffalo and antelope come to the water.
Day 4
Another day of Chobe game viewing activities. Fishing is always a highlight and your lodge has a refreshing swimming pool to relax between activities.
Day 5
There may be time for a morning activity before you're taken to the airport for a light aircraft into the Okavango Delta. At Shinde airstrip you'll be greeted and driven to Footsteps Across the Delta, a comfortable semi-permanent tented camp that will be your exclusive home for the next three nights.
Day 6
Since your family have private use of Footsteps, activities can be tailored towards the ages and tastes of your children. These can include morning and afternoon game drives, night drives, mokoro trips and fishing.
Day 7
A full day of game viewing and bush discovery activities for your family in the Shinde Concession.
Day 8
Your game viewing activity this morning finishes at the airstrip, for a short hop to the Moremi Game Reserve. Here you will be greeted and taken to camp for a three night stay in a family chalet.
Day 9
Game drives in the Moremi Reserve can target a vast range of wildlife, with lion, buffalo, elephant and antelope all present in significant numbers.
Day 10
A final full day of safari activities in the Delta. Motorboat activities and fishing are available for most of the year, while keen birders might be able to visit the Gadikwe Heronry.
Day 11
The morning drive will take you to the airstrip for a light aircraft transfer to Maun. It's then a flight of roughly 90 minutes to Johannesburg, before your overnight flight home.
Day 12
Arrive back in the UK.
